The Walking Dead Season 10 has finally started its new course. While some of the main cast members are no longer part of the new season, one of them has been hinted to return soon.
During the first part of Season 9 just before the six-year time jump, fans witnessed Rick's and Maggie's exits. Although Rick's exit was clear and evident as he hoped to lead a new life outside his main crew, the case is different for Maggie. As it happened, she exited the course "quietly" that after the time-jump, she simply disappeared.
Quite obviously, this confused fans and viewers. But, it was revealed, later on, that Maggie joined Georgie's crew to "help" other communities.
With these revelations at hand, a lot of fans have been very hopeful and open to the possibility of her return since then. Lucky for avid followers, this might just be the case as recent reports are claiming that Lauren Cohan will return on The Walking Dead Season 10.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Angela Kang previously hinted that there is a huge possibility that Maggie will return soon. Although it is not clearly stated if this will happen in Season 10, many are convinced that she will appear before the current season ends.
On the other hand, some fans and critics believe that she might appear in the season finale. This is quite fitting if she will stay on the show for good.
Whatever the case, though, the majority of the fandom is just happy knowing that one of the main cast members is returning on The Walking Dead. This is also very timely as Michonne's actor, Danai Gurira, is now confirmed to exit the show after Season 10.
As per reports, the actress is set to run her own show on HBO Max soon. It is titled, Americanah, which centers on a woman who left Nigeria for America.
On Lauren Cohan's end, she was reported to exit the show for good due to contract issues. Many headlines claimed that it mainly concerned her salary. Even so, the actress dismissed the said claims as per Vanity Fair.
Other reports have also shared that Lauren Cohan exited The Walking Dead for ABC's Whiskey Cavalier. However, the show got cancelled, which allowed her to return to her character as Maggie.
So far, these are the only details that have been shared about her return to the show. While there is no revealed date or episode number yet for her comeback, her return is likely to happen soon.
