Taeyeon, recently, released the dance cover for Spark, the title track of her comeback album Purpose, and impressed fans who have streamed the video close to a million times since its October 30 upload.

The Spark dance cover video, which was uploaded by SM Entertainment on YouTube, wowed netizens who were happy to see Taeyeon nail the powerful choreography required by the song, All Kpop reported.

Some even said that, even though Taeyeon was small compared to other idols, her voice and her dancing skills made her appear larger than life.

It can be recalled that Taeyeon released her comeback last Oct. 28 after announcing a brief postponement from the planned Oct. 22 release. She decided to delay the original date in light of Sulli's unexpected death.

The entire Korean entertainment industry was shocked when Sulli was found dead in her apartment last Oct. 14 at the age of 25. Taeyeon was known to be close to Sulli since their trainee days because they shared a dorm with SNSD Tiffany. Through the years, the two friends continued their strong bond, often supporting each other's projects.

Taeyeon, reportedly, took time off to mourn her good friend and resumed her activities only a few days ago. Instead of complaining about the postponement, her fans were quite understanding of the delay. They asked Taeyeon to take care of her health first before focusing on work. Some also expressed worry that the death of Sulli will lead the Girls Generation member to depression.

However, it seems that Taeyeon heeded her fans' advice well and used her brief break to rechannel her energies on the promotion of her new album.

Billboard praised the album for providing a cohesive series of soulful pop songs that told the story of how Taeyeon found her life's purpose with her music.

"A feeling of optimism and moving forward through the tough times permeates throughout, similarly to how it did on her prior LP, 2017's My Voice, as Taeyeon sings about life and love, and is exemplified on the single Spark," Billboard posted on its website.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Taeyeon's voice will also be heard in the Korean version of the Frozen 2 soundtrack as she sings the local version of the theme song, Into the Unknown. Taeyeon teased the song's release in November, Soompi reported.

The much anticipated Frozen sequel will feature the voice of Broadway star Idina Menzel who will perform the English version of Into the Unknown. The theater and film actress was also responsible for the megahit Let It Go from the movie.
