Ben Affleck, recently, celebrated his one year of sobriety. Then, in a major turn of events, he was spotted stumbling and appeared intoxicated outside a Halloween party in West Hollywood this week. Affleck's recent behavior worries his close friends.

In his recent post on Instagram, the actor opened up about his sobriety. He celebrated his recovery and it seems like Affleck is in a great place. He encouraged his followers to support an organization that helps those people who are like him are also in recovery.

In less than 24 hours after his post, reports indicate that the actor spent time at the bar in a Halloween party. Affleck was, later on, caught on camera hugging a woman in a parking lot as he tries not to stumble on the street while waiting for his ride home. He wasn't driving but it sparked concern among Ben's friends.

He was also seen at a casino with actress and musician Katie Cherry. Apparently, Affleck met Cherry a few months ago in the private dating app Raya. Affleck was, reportedly, spotted playing poker at a UNICEF fundraising masquerade party. This also caused concern among the actor's loved ones as he swore off gambling several years ago.

Us Weekly quoted a source as saying the people close to the actor know where this is heading for Affleck. They are concerned that if he doesn't get help, he won't be able to keep his sobriety again.

Reports indicate that, the following morning after the relapse, the Gone Girl actor showed up at Jennifer Garner's house where he, allegedly, confessed to his ex-wife about the relapse and assured her that he remains optimistic about his future recovery. Affleck acknowledged his slip-up and affirmed his commitment to his sobriety.

The Batman actor and Garner broke up in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Since then, they have been co-parenting their three children -- Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7. The former couple finalized their divorce in November 2018.

Garner has been one of Affleck's support people on his sobriety journey. The actor checked into rehab in August 2018 after Garner and a sober coach staged an intervention at his home in Los Angeles.

Affleck had completed a 40-day treatment program and has been regularly attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. The Good Will Hunting star also previously checked into rehab in 2001 and 2017.
