It has been only five months since Meghan Markle gave birth to her and Prince Harry's first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. However, a royal fan started to wonder why the Duchess of Sussex has yet to lose her baby weight compared to Kate Middleton, who quickly shed off the pounds every time she gave birth.

A royal fan started a discussion on Quora, asking why Meghan has not lost the baby weight yet. Other royal fans saw this question an insult not just to the Duchess of Sussex but to the new mothers as well who found it hard to lose the weight they gained when they were pregnant.

CCU registered nurse Maxine Green said that the statement would make every new mother in the world to feel insecure. It could destroy their confidence at the time when they should be learning to take care of their baby and see it as a beautiful time in their lives.

Lynn Lance stressed that the weight doesn't fall off sometimes. Age, physical fitness, lifestyle, and genetics play a significant role in losing weight after being pregnant. As Meghan Markle's figure shows her hereditary characteristics, and she had geriatric pregnancy, it might take a while before she achieved her pre-pregnancy body.

Also, Angela Grier explained that doctors usually recommend new mothers to lose the weight six to 12 months after the delivery. Some breastfeeding mothers' weight loss takes longer, while others can drop it without effort.

Grier also noted that compared to Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle has an entirely different body type. The Duchess of Cambridge is about 5'9 tall, while Prince Harry's wife is, evidently, shorter with long legs and a short torso.

Kate Middleton is said to have good genes that give her a slimmer body type. There are also reports that she watched her figure during her third pregnancy. As she didn't gain a lot of weight when she was pregnant with Prince Louis, Prince William's wife easily shed off the pounds without so much work.

It is also good to note that Meghan Markle already lost a considerable amount of weight after giving birth. She just yet to match her previous figure.

Just like any other woman who gave birth, Meghan Markle is experiencing the same thing a typical lady experiences after having a child. It may still take a year before she regains her pre-pregnancy shape, but she is undoubtedly working on it.
