There's a longstanding rumor about Prince William and Prince Harry's feud that the Duke of Sussex even acknowledged in an interview in the ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. Although Meghan Markle's husband didn't reveal the reason behind the rift and the Duke of Cambridge had been mum about it, a royal commentator alleged that a sensitive question that the second heir to the throne asked might have sparked the fight.

Royal commentator Angela Mollard revealed, on the Royals podcast, that Prince William might have asked his younger brother if he was already sure about marrying Meghan. However, she cleared that her claim was only a theory, and the siblings' feud might not be the fault of Kate Middleton's husband.

Mollar explained that Prince William might have thoroughly thought about his decision to marry Kate because he knew it would affect his future as the next king. He also understood its importance in the institution and his concept of duty. Thus, he might be expecting Prince Harry to do the same.

"Which possibly he upholds as the second most dutiful member of the Royal Family on paper, after the Queen, I think," she added, as quoted by Express. "He wants a clean copybook to go into the role that he will eventually inherit."

Mollard also added that Prince William's question was reasonable, knowing that Prince Harry and Meghan didn't know each other that long yet before they decided to get married. It was also normal for him to ask his little brother about his decision and advised him to wait a bit longer before settling down.

Aside from being concerned about his marriage, Prince William was also, reportedly, worried about Prince Harry and Meghan after the release of their documentary. The father-of-three was said to be hoping the Sussexes were fine after the shocking revelations.

However, another public broadcaster alleged Prince William was furious after Prince Harry gave the interview, per Daily Mail Online. The royal family believed the controversial royal couple might be in a "fragile place" after what happened.

To recall, Prince Harry revealed his struggles to deal with the "incredibly raw" death of his mother, Princess Diana. He also opened up about his anxieties, which needed "constant management" and admitted his rift with his older brother, saying they were on "different paths."

These revelations made the royal family and those around them concerned. Another royal commentator Phil Dampier said that it was not only Prince William who was worried about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but also Queen Elizabeth II herself and other royals.
