The midseason finale of Power season 6, recently, aired and this episode featured one of the biggest twists this season that could possibly change the series' future. We saw that in this episode, titled "No One Can Stop," Ghost was shot.
When Power season 6 arrives in early 2020, there are a lot of questions that needed to be answered -- particularly whether or not Ghost is dead. In episode 10, it was clear that the character was shot and his body fell on the ground and Blanca likely heard the gunshot.
There are a lot of possible suspects that could be behind the trigger. CarterMatt noted that Dre, Paz, Tommy, Saxe, Tate, Tariq, and Tasha are the candidates that want Ghost dead as all of them have motives for killing him.
Yet, it is also possible that there are other characters out there that want to secretly kill him. For instance, some theories suggest Tasha's boyfriend, Q, or Ramona actually did it. Others speculate that Ghost isn't really dead and he just wanted to pretend he's gone to frame someone.
However, when it comes to that big reveal, series creator Courtney A. Kemp has something to say about it. Speaking on Power Confidential, she said that it would be messed up to set up those suspects. Thus, she's not planning to set up an event where someone claims he or she does the deed.
Still, many are excited about this cliffhanger and all questions will be answered when new episodes of Power season 6 arrive. Meanwhile, there are also speculations that Omari Hardwick will be leaving the series, especially since his character's fate, Ghost, is still up in the air.
Right now, there's no official announcement that Hardwick will definitely leave the show. So, many believe that Ghost survived. After all, he is the main character of the series and it's hard to imagine continuing a story without the presence of the his character.
But, if ever Ghost dies, there are still a lot of ways on how to feature him on Power season 6. Some characters appeared in the midseason finale, like Angela, Raina, and Kanan. Hence, Ghost might be also making his appearance even if he's dead -- possibly as a negative conscience to others.
The new episode of Power season 6 is expected to arrive on Sunday, Jan. 5 on Starz. Also, UK-based viewers can watch the new episode on Monday, Jan. 6, on Netflix.
