Though some are convinced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married because of love, others questioned the motive of the Suits actress for being part of the royal family. A netizen started a convesation on Quora on whether or not Meghan married Harry for fame.
A netizen, named Nazia Hassan, believes it is Meghan Markle's main reason. She said the actress has a little Hollywood appeal. She added that Patrick J. Adams' on-screen lover in Suits couldn't get where she wants to be on looks alone.
The netizen pointed out Meghan married producer Trevor Engelson, who cast her in a movie. When she finally lands a role in Suits, she left California to film the series in Canada. It was her biggest break yet and shortly after, she and Engelson broke up.

However, not everyone is convinced that Meghan Markle used Prince Harry to gain fame. One netizen commented that marrying a royalty comes with a high price such as her privacy.
The Quora user added that Meghan Markle has more potential to increase her popularity by keeping her acting career. She believes that Meghan is paying a much higher price for what she has now with Prince Harry than for what she had before. She said Meghan sacrifice her career and freedom and it only proves how much she loves Harry.
Charlie Davis, the co-founder of FameFlux.com, also joined the conversation and confirmed that Meghan's fame soar after she married Prince Harry. He said the actress' fame peak during the royal wedding in May 2018. FameFlux is an online platform that tracks the fame and popularity of celebrities and companies through online data.
Prince Harry indeed helped Meghan Markle's fame to the world stage, but it is a double-edged sword for her. Along with fame is the constant media scrutiny more than ever on the former actress. The royal couple earlier announced that they are suing a tabloid over the publication of a private letter. In his statement, Prince Harry compared the situation that his wife, Meghan Markle, is in right now to that of her late mother, Diana.
