The Blacklist season 7 episode 6 is set to arrive later this week. The title of the upcoming episode is "Dr. Lewis Powell," and this suggests that he's someone who has a major role within this episode. He's possibly another Blacklister and proved to be valuable in scientific advancement.
In the synopsis of The Blacklist season 7 episode 6, the FBI is on red alerts after a scientist, Dr. Lewis Powell, specializing in artificial intelligence research suspiciously died. Now, the question is: who's this scientist? And who's the person behind his death?
There are a lot of assumptions in regards to this, with some speculating that another scientist may have killed him. Also, another question is: is Dr. Lewis Powell related to Julian Powell -- a scientist from season 2's "The Longevity Initiative"? While that's a possibility, CarteMatt noted that Powell is a common last name and the two might not be related at all.
In another part of The Blacklist season 7 episode, Francesca Campbell further entangled herself in the criminal activities of Red. Her storyline is also an interesting one, as it makes some viewers question her real motives. She's lying to Red which is really dangerous for her part but, despite that, she is still working for him.
Why is she doing this? And what does she get, aside from getting access to him? But, it's possible that she is working with someone and they want to uncover more things about Red. Francesca has been a mysterious character this season, and she's been lying to Red about her personal life.
In another related report, the ratings of The Blacklist season 7 rise. The recently aired episode, titled "Norman Devane", drew a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The ratings of the current season proved to be better than season 6, in which only one episode drew an impressive number.
The ratings also proved that the series still has a lot of loyal viewers, despite complicated episodes. Since the show is doing well, many are hoping the show will continue its story in season 8. If the ratings will stay within the 0.5-0.6 for the rest of season 7, CarterMatt noted there's no reason for NBC to cancel the series -- unless they are either tired of it or faces financial issues.
The Blacklist season 7 episode 6 will air on Friday, Nov. 8, on NBC.
