B.I.G finally made its most awaited comeback two years since releasing the group's last album. B.I.G, also known as Boys in Groove, dropped the new MV for the song, Illusion.
According to a report by All Kpop, B.I.G released the Illusion MV on YouTube on Nov. 4. The MV was met with many positive reactions from long-time fans of the idol group because their last digital release was Remember, back in 2017.
Fans celebrated B.I.G's new song and posted their good wishes in different languages in the comment section. Among the those who expressed excitement were fans in the Middle East after Sony Music Korea announced that B.I.G also recorded an Arabic version of the song. This will be released ahead of their Abu Dhabi concert on Thursday.
According to the explanation of the song's concept, Illusion was about meeting a former flame and finding oneself still harboring feelings for the person. The members depicted their dilemma and pain of the unexpected reunion and compared the frustration to a mirage in the loveless desert of one's heart.
The Illusion MV was shot in black and white with bursts of colored scenes in between. Fans lauded the simplicity of the setting as a masterful way of drawing attention to B.I.G's strong vocals and the catchy tempo of the new song.
B.I.G is, currently, promoting as a five-member group in the absence of leader J-Hoon, who quietly enlisted in the military in November 2018. However, even though the group is not perfoming as a complete set, Arab fans are more than ready to welcome back B.I.G after their long break.
The Kpop idol group is among the most popular Korean entertainment acts in the Middle East because of its outstanding covers of Arabic hits under their "Global Cover Project."
Most of their covers of Arabic songs of like Hussain Al Jassmi's Boshret Kheir received over one million views on YouTube and earned B.I.G new fans. Because of its popularity among Arab fans, the group also released an Arabic version of their sixth single Hello, Hello.
As part of their comeback, B.I.G is scheduled to perform the Arabic version of Illusion at the Korea Festival 2019 on Nov. 7. The event, organized by the Korean Cultural Center in the UAE, will be held at the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi. According to the event details, the concert will be free but seats will be limited to fans who RSVP before the concert, the Visit Abu Dhabi site posted.
