Nicki Minaj made sure that Wendy Williams will get feel her anger after the TV host mentioned the rapper's husband's criminal history on his show. The "Anaconda" singer called Williams "evil" in response to the host statement.
The feud between the two celebrities stemmed from Williams' remark on her show, The Wendy Williams Show, about the criminal past of Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty. In Williams' show, she first congratulated Minaj for getting married.
Then, she brought up Petty's troubled past. Williams referred to Petty as a "killer" and "sex offender." It made Minaj furious and hit back on Williams.
In 1995, teen Petty was convicted of attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. In 2002, he also pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter. Petty served seven years of his 10-year sentence and is now a registered sex offender in New York.
On Minaj's Apple Radio show, Queen Radio, the "Super Bass" rapper called out Williams and reminded the host of her own relationship woes. Minaj said some people report the news and these are those who told the news with evil intent like Williams.
"I didn't know that in our society, you have to be plagued by your past... I didn't know that your viciousness and evilness was this deep-rooted," Minaj said.
Minaj went on to blast Williams over her divorce from Kevin Hunter. She also mentioned Hunter's mistress Sharina Hudson.
It was earlier reported that Hunter got his mistress Sharina Hudson pregnant while still married with Williams. The 55-year-old TV host, later on, filed for divorce, ending their 22-year marriage with Hunter. He was charged for having a 10-year affair with Hudson, who gave birth in March to a child suspected to be Hunter's.
Minaj said she pity Williams as she seems to be not loved at home. The singer said this made the TV host being vicious all the time. Minaj also mocked Williams for paying for her husband's mistress expenses, which makes her look stupid.
It looks like the feud will get worse as Minaj warned she will talk more about Williams next week on her radio show. This is not the first time Minaj defended her now-husband from critics since they started dating in December 2018.
Her fans have frequently raised their concern about Petty's criminal past and she always comes to his defense. In July, she also clapped back at critics of her relationship with Petty.
Minaj and Petty tied the knot on Oct. 21 after less than a year of dating. Last week, the rapper showed off her diamond wedding ring which she said Petty bought for more than $1.1 million.
