Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just couldn’t catch a break from their critics. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a lot of backlashes that they felt that they had no choice but to sue a couple of publications to teach them a lesson.
Unfortunately for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the public, media, and even Queen Elizabeth didn’t like their approach at all. So, instead of getting sympathy, they received even more criticism over it.
Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to have a six-week break. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their firstborn Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, will be spending Thanksgiving in the U.S. Although there is no official announcement from Buckingham Palace, it is expected that the royal couple will be visiting Los Angeles.
“This is Archie’s first Thanksgiving and family is going to be very important for Meghan for the holidays,” a source said. “This would also be Harry’s first Thanksgiving in the States. It will be nice for them to be around people that love them and have him understand her traditions too.” Insiders added that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are focused to escape the scrutiny that they are currently facing in the U.K.
Just last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a documentary titled Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, where they candidly revealed the pressures they have faced as a couple. It was also during the ITV program when the former actress shared her struggles after joining the royal family.
“Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn and especially as a woman it’s a lot,” Meghan Markle told interviewer Tom Bradby. “So you add this on top of trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed.”
When asked about how she was, Meghan Markle thanked Bradby and said, “not many people have asked if I’m ok, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.” This statement didn’t please a lot of people as many believe that she was complaining.
As expected, it didn’t help how critics perceive Meghan Markle at all. If there was a change, it was for the worst. With all the negativity surrounding them, Prince Harry and Meghan taking a break seemed to be the best option for the couple.
