Rumors that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are back together have been going on for years. New dating speculation between the two indicates that they secretly meet in New York City to share a dinner together. However, it was revealed that there is no truth about this latest speculation about the former spouses.

According to Woman's Day, the ex-lovers had a spur-of-the-moment meet-up in NYC when they are both in the city for business. The outlet claimed the two Hollywood A-listers took advantage of this rare opportunity and spent time at Il Mulino, which is one of Aniston's all-time favorite restaurants. The publication said Aniston is familiar with the place and knows that the staff would be discreet.

Woman's Day claimed the exes are trying to bring back their trust to each other as Aniston expressed support to Pitt's sobriety. The Moneyball actor, on the other hand, reportedly, now understands how much heartache his former wife has been through when they split in 2005.

Gossip Cop, however, debunked the rumor and pointed out that there was no indication that Pitt was in NYC at the same time as Aniston. The Friends star is, currently, in a publicity tour for her new TV series The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon. Pitt, on the other hand, recently, attended the press tour of his movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Gossip Cop pointed out that it is nearly impossible that the two would go on a date unnoticed considering both of them are high-profile celebrities. Paparazzi or not are all curious about what is happening between the two stars hence there should be a photo of them together in New York if the dating rumor is true.

The publication also talked to Pitt's spokesperson who confirmed that the rumor is false and the actor hadn't been in New York lately. Aniston's rep also dismisses the dating rumor as "another fabrication."

Moreover, it has been public knowledge that Pitt and Aniston have rekindled their friendship a long time ago. Pitt attended Jen's 50th birthday party earlier this year and they have exchanged occasional calls and texts as well.

At the time, a source told E! News that the War Machine accepted an invite to Aniston's birthday because he wanted to support his former wife as it is an important occasion for her. The insider insisted that the actor's presence at her party was mere as a friend and nothing more.
