Prince William is seemingly doing his duties very well, alongside his wife, Kate Middleton. Many are convinced that the young prince will be a great monarch once he ascends to the throne.

However, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair shared a shocking revelation about the duke. As shared in his 2010 controversial book, Prince William used to hate his position in the British monarchy.

According to Daily Express, Tony Blair was able to share these claimed truths because of his former position. He used to visit Queen Elizabeth II at the Balmoral during his time as the Prime Minister.

Based on his statements, he had a very close and "intimate" time with the young Prince William in one of his visits before. It was later revealed that this happened right after Princess Diana died in 1997.

Tony Blair further expanded the nature of their "close" ties before. As per his claims, Prince William once shared that he wasn't happy with his duties as he "hated" the "prison walls" of his destiny.

It was also shared that the young prince was "angry" when he needed to become a public figure while grieving at the death of his mother. During this time, he felt "conflicted."

All of these things were detailedly explained in Tony Blair's 2010 book titled, A Journey. He claimed that Prince William "confided" his thoughts and raw emotions in him, which he obviously released for the whole world to know.

Upon the release of the book, though, many reports and headlines followed that claimed the prince's disappointments toward the former Prime Minister. As per the sources, Prince William felt "betrayed" as these things were all shared privately.

Not to mention, these were all thoughts of a young boy who just lost his mom in an accident. So, letting it all out to the public many years later was deemed as a huge betrayal and mistake.

No confirmations were made, however, if Prince William truly felt hurt and betrayed by Tony Blair. The same is also true for the reported "close ties" between the young prince and the former Prime Minister.

Cheat Sheet emphasized that this dynamic has become a wise tactic by Prince William. He doesn't say or comment on anything. Sources also claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge learned to keep everything in secrecy. For them, this is the best course of action since responding and commenting on every report made about them just "dignifies" them.
