A weird heist happened at the Crown pub in Cornmarket Street in Oxford when a thief stole Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's portraits on Oct. 23. However, the culprit said to leave the Duchess of Sussex's painting behind and even kicked it out of her way.

According to Express, the thief is reportedly a woman, who was seen snooping around the pub a few minutes before the robbery took place. The pub manager Angela Economopoulos revealed it happened around 7:30 in the evening.

According to the pub's staff members, the woman was even asking some random stuff about the paintings, which were done to celebrate Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding last year. The works of art were hanging on the outdoor wall at the time.

Her friendly manners turned for the worse as soon as the staff left. The thief then pulled the two paintings off the wall and left the building in a rush. However, as each piece stood four feet tall, she kicked Meghan Markle's portrait aside and took Prince Harry's instead.

Meghan Markle's portrait is now back to the pub, but the management decided to take it off from the display to avoid another robbery attempt. The police are now trying to find the thief to get back Prince Harry's after she was caught doing the deed on the pub's CCTV camera.

The pub's staff members were all stunned with what happened. But, Andrew "Mani" Manson, the artist behind Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's painting, found the robbery as a compliment.

"It's quite a compliment if someone is happy to pinch a picture of yours - you're doing something right," he said, per Oxford Mail. Manson is now curious about what will happen to the thief and if it is her first time to rob. He also wants to know where she hangs Prince Harry's portrait or if she either burns or destroys it.

With the lost, Manson offers the pub to create a new mural for the Crown as part of its major renovation, which will close the shop from Nov. 7 to Dec. 4. Economopoulos, on the other hand, said it is quite frustrating losing the painting, but they are happy with the refurbishment and having more of Manson's work.

Officials asked everyone to cooperate and report any information about the lost painting. Tipsters can call 101 with the reference number 43190330756.
