Prince William and Prince Harry have become the faces of many headlines today. After the younger prince seemingly confirmed an ongoing feud between him and his brother, the reports and speculations continue to emerge.
Almost four weeks ago, Prince Harry shared, in an interview with Tom Bradby, that he and his brother are currently heading towards "different paths." While being vague, many royal fans and experts picked up that the two have been certainly in many disagreements lately.
The Duke of Sussex also shared that, as brothers, it's "inevitable." They have "good days," and they also have "bad days." Even so, he still concluded that the love for each other is still there.
With these kinds of statements, many are convinced that things are not going along well between the two princes. While the reasons behind have remained undisclosed, royal correspondents, recently, contended that it might be because of the younger prince's wife, Meghan Markle.
In a scoop made by New Idea, Angela Mollard claimed with the publication that she has a "theory" about the rumored rift. Based on her explanations, the rift probably started when Prince William showed his care for his younger brother.
It was explained that the Duke of Cambridge, who is the second person in line to the throne, is a very meticulous person. He reportedly took a long time to decide whether to marry Kate Middleton or not. In the end, however, he did what he did for the sake of his position in the monarchy.
With his sense of duty in mind, it is not impossible that he asked the same question to Prince Harry upon learning that he'll marry someone who he just met.
Angela Mollard further added that the rumored rift possibly ignited when Prince William said something to Prince Harry along the lines of "are you sure?" toward his union with his then-girlfriend, Meghan Markle.
It was also explained by the royal commentator that the Duke of Cambridge is not at fault in this situation. He just cares for his brother, which is "reasonable" given that Meghan Markle is an American actress, and also an individual who does not have a "close-knit" family in the United Kingdom. Hence, there will surely be a lot of issues and tension, especially with the press and the public.
It is likely that Prince Harry took his brother's concerns negatively. Seeing that the younger prince's "reactive" character, he probably reacted to Prince William in the sense that, instead of taking it as a way of care and concern, he took it as offensive. Accordingly, friction emerges, and the rest is history.
