Miles Finer will stumble a shocking discovery as he follows clues in Paris about the God Account. In the upcoming God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 8, he will meet Gideon, the man who claims to be receiving friend requests years ago before the God Account came to Miles' life.
In the episode titled, "The Last Grenelle," Miles (Brandon Michael Hall) and Cara (Violett Beane) are on a mission to look for more clues on Audrey Grenelle's (Karine Vanasse) painting called "The Path." The artwork had already a hidden message coded by the God Account.
In the previous episode, Grenelle admitted her Paris project was her attempt to push boundaries in the world of art. Every piece of her artwork was created by an AI program, except for one.
"The Path" was the product of a hack on Grenelle's AI program. In Episode 7, Miles, Cara, and their hacker friend, Rakesh (Suraj Sharma) attempted to crack the 11-digit password protection of the painting.
They eventually realized that Judy's hospital bracelet numbers were the key. Once the painting got decoded, the message showed a picture of a house.
In the upcoming God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 8, Miles' journey in finding clues in Paris will lead them to Gideon. He, apparently, had been helping friend suggestions years ago before he decided to leave the God Account behind. Gideon will be played by Grey's Anatomy alum T.R. Knight.
In the sneak peek for Episode 8, Miles excitedly tells Gideon a story that he got a friend request from someone who claims to be God. Gideon tells Miles that he believes that he is telling him the truth. When Miles asks him how, Gideon reveals that he was also friended by God seven years ago.
Both Miles and Cara look shocked by Gideon's revelation because it means the skeptical atheist is not the first and only person to have been the beneficiary of the God Account. Will Miles feel less special after finding out the truth? Did God friended Miles after Gideon gave up helping Him?
If Gideon is telling the truth, will he give Miles some advice about his experience with friend suggestions and life after he abandoned the God Account? It can be recalled that Miles got a taste of life without friend suggestions when Joy (Jessica Lu) began getting them towards the end of Season 1 and at the beginning of the second season.
God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 8 will air on November 17 at 8/7c on CBS.
