President Elizabeth McCord will be dealing with family and state problems at the same time in the upcoming Madam Secretary Season 6 Episode 7. The U.S. intelligence will finally locate the mastermind behind a foreign country's hack while Elizabeth's son, Jason, is in trouble at school.
Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) is given the most difficult task to decide if she is willing to risk war by extracting from a foreign country a hacking mastermind. The said person is the one that leaked a senator's personal information that undermined Elizabeth's presidency.
POTUS has to decide while she also prepares for the White House correspondents' dinner. This means whatever Elizabeth's course of action against that person may be leaked to the media and it could be revealed during her dinner with the press.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth and husband, First Gentleman Dr. Henry McCord (Tim Daly), are expected to be called in at the principal's office after their son, Jason (Evan Roe), got into trouble. According to the official synopsis of Madam Secretary Season 6 Episode 7, Jason confronts his school newspaper over its coverage of his mother. As a result, Jason is facing backlash over his action, possibly on social media.
It is most likely that the media may also pick up the story about Jason. Without Daisy (Patina Miller) on Elizabeth's side, the president may struggle in dealing with the press.
Daisy has been Elizabeth's rock when it comes to media affairs. She resigned from her position at the White House as Elizabeth's press secretary after she made a major error in judgment while trying to protect the country from an unhinged Presidential candidate.
First daughter Stevie McCord (Wallis Currie-Wood) could step in and help her parents in reprimanding her brother about his actions. Stevie had a fair share of scandals that affected her mother over the years.
Both the hacking mastermind and Jason's storyline are fitting to the episode titled, "Accountability." Elizabeth intends to hold the person behind the hacking accountable for his action, and so as Jason. The former Secretary of State has been known for holding herself accountable for any mistake her office made and commit herself in finding solutions to mitigate damages to the country of whatever mistake she made.
Madam Secretary Season 6 airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. only on CBS. Episode 7 is scheduled for broadcast on November 17.
