Most people retire and slow down by the time they are 65 but not Queen Elizabeth. In fact, Her Majesty was recently photographed riding a horse at the Windsor Castle ground and she is showing no signs of slowing down at the age of 93.

According to People, Queen Elizabeth was seen with Head Groom Terry Pendry for a Monday morning horseback riding in Windsor. She was wearing a long navy coat and a headscarf to keep her warm but she also had sunglasses on to protect her eyes from the morning glare.

However, this was far from being a rare incident since Queen Elizabeth is often seen with her prized horses. In 2017, she was trotting like the pro that she is the day her grandson Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton welcomed their third son, Prince Louis.

The Queen has always loved her horses ever since she was gifted with her first pony at four-years-old. Despite her busy schedule as the monarch, she also makes time to attend horse shows and watch horse races.

Among her children and grandchildren, Princess Anne and Zara Tindall have inherited Queen Elizabeth's enthusiasm for riding horses. These royals even competed in various Olympic events where they won medals for the British team.

Meanwhile, royal fans can't help but marvel at how Queen Elizabeth still dabbles in a slightly dangerous sport for her age. At 93, the royal could be at risk of falling off a horse and hurting her back or head with one wrong move or command.

However, Queen Elizabeth simply proved just how much of an expert rider she is. It doesn't seem like she's going to give up this hobby or change her routine of riding horses for as long as both her legs work.

For years, royal fans have been speculating that the Queen might finally and abdicate from her throne as the longest serving monarch in history. If this ride was any indication of Her Majesty's health and well-being, naysayers could be wrong to speculate that she is ready for retirement.

Riding day followed a few days after Queen Elizabeth attended the services for Remembrance Day with her family. She was at the laying of the wreath ceremony last Sunday and she also attended the special show at the Royal Albert Hall the night before.

Meanwhile, her husband, the Duke of Edinburg Prince Philip, who is now 97 years old, retired in 2017 and hasn't been seen much in public since then.
