It's a wrap for the cast and crew of Madam Secretary. Lead cast members Tea Leoni and Tim Daly shared some photos from their last day of shooting for the Madam Secretary series finale.
Real-life couple Leoni and Daly played the lead characters in the series as Secretary of State-turned President Elizabeth McCord and First Gentleman Dr. Henry McCord, respectively. The two posted photos from the set of their series on the last day of filming.
Leoni shared a back snap of her and executive producer Lori McCreary while walking at the backstage of their set. She also earlier posted a black and white photo of her and Daly as the McCord couple and captioned it as their last throwback photo for Madam Secretary.
Daly, on the other hand, posted a photo of him hugging his on-and-off screen partner, Leoni, while the production staff looks on. Their while their on-screen daughter Wallis Currie-Wood (Stevie) can also be noticed in the snap.
"HUMANS!!! What did I get from #MadamSecretary? EVERYTHING! That's a wrap," he captioned the photo.
Madam Secretary has been a life-changing TV series for Leoni and Daly. They began dating during Season 1 of the series though they have known each other for a long time. They both attended the same high school in Vermont.
Leoni was previously married to X-File actor David Duchovny. The two ended their 17-year marriage in 2014. Leoni and Daly keep their relationship as private when they started dating. Leoni previously vowed to "never speak again" about her relationships after her public split from Duchovny.
Meanwhile, Madam Secretary is bidding goodbye after a six-year run. EP Lori McCreary revealed that it wasn't an easy filming for the cast of the CBS drama. She tweeted that everyone got emotional on their final shoot day.
The political drama television series was created by Homeland EP Barbara Hall. It was executive produced by Hall, McCreary, and Leoni along with veteran actor Morgan Freeman, Tracy Mercer, and David Grae.
A number of the series episodes are ripped-from-the-headlines. Over the years, Madam Secretary also received backlash over its episodes. For instance, East Timor's Minister of State José Ramos-Horta expressed his protest against an episode in Season 4 in which the border dispute between Australia and East Timor in the Timor Sea was featured as a background story.
The ongoing Season 6 airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Madam Secretary series finale is expected to air on December 8.
