Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been the subject of different rumors - from marriage to baby to surrogate. The two already mocked the malicious allegations against them, but it looks like it will never stop. So, after a year a tabloid claimed that they were planning to hire a surrogate, what happened to their alleged scheme?

Last year, Us Weekly claimed that the couple was considering surrogacy to have their own baby. They were allegedly in the final stages of choosing a woman to be their surrogate.

An anonymous source said that Gwen Stefani understood the importance of giving Blake Shelton his biological child. Allegedly, the former No Doubt frontwoman tried several rounds of IVF treatments, but to no avail. She reportedly accepted the truth that she could no longer conceive a baby and her only hope was surrogacy.

Gwen Stefani was said to be looking forward to having another two kids, dreaming one of which would be a girl. The 50-year-old star currently has three children, Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma, from his past relationship with former husband, Gavin Rossdale. The three are all boys, so she is reportedly eyeing to have a baby girl.

Gossip Cop debunked this story as there was no truth about it. A year has passed; Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani still don't have a baby of their own. The "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker's rep even insisted that the story was fake. They never explored the idea of surrogacy and the rumors about her IVF sessions were also not true.

So, it looks like Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton can't help themselves but respond to this issue. In a tweet, the couple made fun of the made-up stories about them.

In September, Gwen Stefani expressed her excitement over the restock of her kids' collection for Target, Harajuku Mini. Blake Shelton took advantage of the scene and poked fun at the baby rumors surrounding them.

"ohhhhhh @gwenstefani this stuff will be great for our twins!!!!," he said. Blake Shelton's fans joined in the fun and mocked the assumptions about them. "Don't think it would be fair, Blake! After all, you two have what? Four sets of twins by now? The whole collection would be gone before people even had a chance to buy it," one of his followers said.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's romance started on the set of The Voice in 2015. Three years have passed; the two are still very much in love with each other and often the subject of malicious rumors.
