Speed stars Sandra Bullock, and Keanu Reeves are known to be good friends for years. Now that Reeves is rumored to be engaged to his longtime friend/business partner Alexandra Grant there were also speculations that Bullock is planning to throw an engagement party for the couple.

According to OK! Magazine, the Bird Box actress is planning a special event for the two at her home in Los Angeles. The publication cited a source as saying Reeves initially told his actress friend that she doesn't need to give them an engagement party but Bullock reportedly insisted. Bullock promised the Matrix actor and Grant that it would be a perfect night for them.

Gossip Cop, however, debunked the story. The site pointed out that it wasn't even confirmed whether or not Reeves is engaged with Grant. The John Wick actor and Grant made their romance known when they attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Film + Art Festival together. The two were also photographed holding hands on the red carpet.

Reeves allegedly popped the question about a month ago over a cozy dinner at home. The 55-year-old actor reportedly gave Grant a $200,000 vintage-inspired engagement ring, which the visual artist happily accepted.

Gossip Cop, however, set the record straight on the rumor that Reeves and Grant are planning a secret wedding in Malibu next spring. The site noted that Reeves' rep hadn't confirmed any of the wedding or engagement speculations between the two.

Bullock may plan something special for the couple when they confirm their engagement, but for now, it remains as speculations. The actress and Reeves have once sparked dating rumors as well.

The two first met when they work together in the 1994 action film Speed. In separate interviews with the stars, they both revealed that they had crushes on each other while filming the movie. They did not end up as a couple but maintain their friendship through the years.

Meanwhile, many are curious about how Reeves met his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant. She is an artist herself and has been friends with the 7 Ronin actor for years.

Grant graduated with MFA in Painting and Drawing at the California College of the Arts. Grant owns an art gallery, Lowell Ryan Projects.

She and Reeves worked together on the latter's book, Ode to Happiness, from 2011. They also co-created a book together called Shadows in 2016. Reeves wrote the book with illustrations by Grant. The two also co-founded a publishing house called X Artists' Books.
