TWICE recently had to stop a V Live broadcast after a fan tailed their van and knocked on their vehicle.
All Kpop reported TWICE members were treating their fans to a VLive broadcast on the way home from their schedule when the stream stopped abruptly with the message "Please respect TWICE's privacy."
Based on the report, before the broadcast was cut, members were heard talking about a fan following them to their location. As the TWICE members discussed how the fan found them, another member quipped that it was probably because they turned the lights on. Dahyun suggested that they stop the broadcast because of the fan that stalked them. Momo abruptly said goodbye to the camera and cut off the feed.
It can be recalled that late last month, ONCE went into a panic after reports that Nayeon had a foreign stalker who was claiming that she was his girlfriend. The stalker raised a red flag because he was leaving multiple comments on the social media accounts of Nayeon's friends.
Fans also expressed concern that his behavior might escalate to a dangerous level because of his brazenness in pursuing Nayeon. Many fans have reached out directly to the stalker to ask him to stop his threatening actions, but his replies indicated that he truly believed that he had a connection with the TWICE member. Frustrated fans said that the stalker seemed out of touch about his inappropriate behavior, leading some of Nayeon's supporters to ask JYP Entertainment to take action on the matter.
Even though stalkers and sasaeng fans have been plaguing TWICE members since their debut, each report still causes alarm with the agency and the fandom as fans seek to ensure the safety of their idols.
In 2017, JYP took legal action against a sasaeng who threatened to kill TWICE Mina. The perpetrator posted a photo of her hand with a knife on top of it, along with a hate message. The fan also made a similar threat to GOT7's BamBam. After the post received a lot of reactions, the poster deleted a post and replaced it with a handwritten apology.
According to her, she only posted the threat to gain popularity on the Ilbe community but she did not intend to harm anyone in real life .Despite the apology, JYP reportedly pursued legal action against the offender, Koreaboo reported.
