God Friended Me season 2 episode 9 is set to arrive later this week, with the title "Prophet & Loss." The upcoming episode will likely feature a tension between Miles and Cara, as the latter's stepfather got tied into the God Account.
In the synopsis of God Friended Me season 2 episode 9, Miles got the name of Cara's stepfather, Paul (guest star Tom Everett Scott). However, they soon discover that he's possibly involved with an insider trading scheme.
Despite that, Cara asked Miles to ignore his urge and not to get involved. So, Miles needs to choose between God Account or Cara's wish. She does not want Miles to pursue whatever he's planning and may probably convince him to do something else to divert his attention.
Yet, Cara will likely realize that Miles needs to look at it since they need to follow the instructions of the God Account. The question now is: is her stepfather really involved in an insider trading scheme? While that's possible, we also know that this series has a positive nature.
Perhaps, God Friended Me season 2 episode 9 will deliver an unexpected twist, wherein Cara's stepfather isn't really part of a shady scheme and he someone else just set him up. Also, Miles and Cara's relationship might be affected in this episode. Yet, we know that they stick together no matter what happens.
Meanwhile, the recent episode of God Friended Me season 2 dropped some hints about the God Account. Gideon, played by T.R. Knight, used to help the friend suggestions before Miles found the account. But, he eventually stopped doing it and decided to settle down with his family.
Miles believes there's a reason why the God Account brought him to Gideon, and he thinks that reason means a bigger purpose for him. Gideon is also one step ahead of Miles since he knows the person behind the God Account.
Gideon is a teacher and he walked away from the God Account after falling in love as the account told him to give up everything and follow the "path." Now, he believes the account is grooming Miles to be the next "prophet." Is he ready to leave Cara and follow what the account wants?
Miles likes the work he does and enjoys working with people, but he loves it since he's not doing it alone. He has his father who guides him, Cara who helps him, and Rakesh who hacks stuff for him. The team effort brought all of them closer together, so Miles may not probably let go of what he has now.
