Meghan Markle has been the face of many reports and headlines since she started dating Prince Harry. After a year or so, the reports continued to develop with much more shocking revelations and contents.

Aside from the usual attacks against her character, attitude, and intentions, several more reports have been getting the attention of the public. One of these claims includes the infamous Frogmore Cottage renovations.

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially tied the knot in 2018, they shared the Kensington Palace with the Cambridge couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, things became quite confusing for the rest of the public when it was announced that the Sussex couple will already move out and live separately from the Cambridge couple.

Quite obviously, this sparked many rumors and controversies centering on the rumored rifts and disputes between the two couples. While no confirmations have been made, many are convinced that Meghan is the source and root-cause of all.

Upon announcing their Frogmore Cottage relocation, it took months before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to officially move in. The reason being was the renovation of the residence for the couple.

According to previous reports, Meghan Markle "indulged" herself in "lavish" renovations of the Frogmore Cottage. It was reported that she had the residence installed with a yoga studio, tennis court, private guest room for Doria Ragland, and other extravagant features in her new home.

While a renovation is seemingly logical for anyone who is moving into a new home, what angered and triggered the public was the claims that Meghan indulged the process at the "expense" of the taxpayer's money with a staggering amount of $3.1 million.

Based on New Idea's new scoop about the issue, Byline Investigates was able to obtain the court documents that Meghan's camp filed against the Associated Newspapers. In the documents, all of these claims were refuted by the duchess' camp.

The documents are said to deny the claims that the Sussex couple had their new home installed with a £5,000 copper bathtub, tennis court or orangery, Doria Ragland's private guest suite, and the £500,000 soundproofing feature. Even the previously reported yoga studio was refuted in the documents.

It was noted, however, that the "grade II 17th century" residence was already in the middle of a "much-needed renovation" into its original state. The claims further went on to share that Queen Elizabeth II funded the renovation as a part of her "obligation and responsibility" to maintain historical pieces, such as the Frogmore Cottage.
