Christmas at the Sandringham Estate has been the usual tradition of Queen Elizabeth II. However, this year's holiday season for the royal family will not be complete as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just confirmed their plans for December. It also seems like Prince William and Kate Middleton are skipping as well.

According to Daily Express, the Cambridge couple, along with their three kids, may possibly spend Christmas with the Middletons. It is very likely given that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will spend theirs with Doria Ragland in the United States.

It is also worth noting that Prince William and Kate Middleton already spent a few holidays with Kate's parents in Bucklebury in the past. So, if they decide to skip the tradition at Sandringham, the queen will likely give her blessing, the sources claimed.

While the speculations continue to develop these past few days, royal commentator, Brittani Barger confirmed with the same publication that no word has been heard yet from Prince William and Kate Middleton. Hence, no one knows for sure if they will spend the holiday season together with the other senior royals of the family.

Even so, the Buckingham Palace was said to release a statement to Express UK. Based on reports, the palace does not "confirm in advance" as to who among the Royal Family members will spend Christmas with the queen at Sandringham Estate. Needless to say, fans and supporters will only get to know the details once the event approaches in the next few weeks.

For the last two years, the Cambridge and Sussex couples spent their Christmas seasons with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at the said estate. These events also became notable as Meghan Markle became the first "royal girlfriend" who was able to join the family in their intimate engagements.

E! News confirmed last week that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to extend their stay in the United States so Archie could spend Christmas Day in the country. Initially, the plan was to only spend Thanksgiving with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. It was previously reported that the family will return to the U.K. before Christmas Day.

Accordingly, it became a surprise to the majority of the royal fans and supporters upon learning the new changes in their six-week break. Nevertheless, the palace issued a statement that the Sussex couple, along with Archie, has the queen's blessing for spending the holidays in the United States.

Many are convinced that this might be one of the results of the rumored rift between Prince Harry and Prince William, or more so, between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. While the rumors continue to develop in recent times, no one knows for sure the real reason behind.
