Fans of Lucifer Morningstar will have to wait longer than the usual for the return of the series but when it does, it looks like they are up for a great treat. Tom Ellis and Lauren German teased that fans may witness a wedding in the upcoming Lucifer Season 5.

In Season 4 finale, Lucifer (Ellis) made the ultimate sacrifice and returned to Hell. He left just after Chloe Decker (German) expressed her love for the Lord of Hell.

Chloe was left heartbroken and she is still when the Netflix series returns next year. Apparently, Lucifer Season 5 will pick up as Chloe struggling to cope with Lucifer's departure.

German said Decker will not be in the right place and will deal with her lose by drowning her sorrow with booze. Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) will help Chloe cope.

It is likely that it will not take long before Lucifer returns to Earth. DB Woodside (Amenadiel) earlier revealed to Entertainment Weekly that his character will be going to Hell to ask for Lucifer's help. Fans are hoping that Amenadiel's plea will see his brother return to Earth and eventually reuniting with Chloe.

By the looks of it, Lucifer and Chloe's love story will never have a sad ending after all. In fact, a wedding is likely to happen in the series final season.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, German assured fans that if ever Lucifer returns and proposed to Chloe, she will never think twice and will say "Yes" to him. When asked about the possibility of Deckerstar nuptials, both Ellis and German were cautious to spoil anything.

German admitted that she has no idea whether or not there will be a wedding in the final season but nonetheless expressed excitement if it happens. Ellis is also not discounting the possibility that Lucifer will tie the knot with Chloe.

The two shared their ideas on what they want the Lucifer-Chloe wedding looks like. Ellis would like to hear Katrina and the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine" playing in the background.

German added what she envisioned for Chloe's wedding. She would like her to see her in a black dress and with fire blazing in the background. The actress would also like a very heavy classical piece playing on Chloe's special day.

Lucifer Season 5 is expected to premiere in summer 2020. It will have 15 episodes.
