It cannot be denied that Meghan Markle is gorgeous, not to mention stylish. From the time she is only starring the television series Suits to becoming the Duchess of Sussex, she already looks incredibly beautiful. However, a Twitter page shared a couple of heavily-edited photos of Prince Harry's wife, and it is now criticized by a lot of fans and netizens alike.
The fashion company, Boohoo, shared two snaps of Meghan Markle from different angles on Twitter. "Meghan Markle appreciation post. How stunning is she though," it captioned the photos.
The former actress looks very stunning in the pictures, only that it was heavily edited. Irked fans noticed the massive alteration; thus, they questioned the UK-based online fashion retailer's move.
"Congrats, you can't even tell these photos are heavily edited and don't even look like her," one fan commented with a couple of clapping emojis. Another one added that Meghan Markle's bottom lip is fuller in the picture.
If they compared the mother-of-one's other picture to this post, it could easily be seen that it was heavily edited. This Twitter user even advised the photos' editor to darken her neck so it could be the same color as her face instead.
A royal fan added that Meghan Markle already looks stunning without editing her face. The follower also concluded that people were so weird nowadays that they had to do such a thing.
Another one said that Boohoo's move was "super disrespectful" for posting photos that were obviously photoshopped. The follower commended Meghan Markle for looking naturally beautiful, but the heavily-edited snaps created "unattainable standards" for the young women that were following the page.
In an earlier interview with Allure, Meghan Markle revealed that her "pet peeve" was being airbrushed in photographs. She admitted that she didn't like it when her skin tone was changed into a lighter color, and her freckles were removed. She knew that her biracial identity is quite a difficulty for casting agents, but she hated it when she was reduced to something more simplistic.
Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, is white, while her mother, Doria Ragland, is black. She previously opened up about the challenges of growing up with mixed race, saying that she never felt that she fitted with either the black or white community.
She was labeled "ethnically ambiguous," and with her freckles, it made things more complicated. However, Meghan Markle is proud of her color and flaws. She even kept in mind when her father told her that "a face without freckles is a night without stars."
