His Dark Materials episode 5 is set to arrive later this week, with the title "The Lost Boy." Lyra continues searching for Roger, as well as the other missing kids. But, along the way, she will also navigate other interesting directions, especially now that she has a new companion.
In the synopsis of His Dark Materials episode 5, the alethiometer will send Lyra and Iorek on a new path. The new direction they'll be taking will eventually lead them to shocking yet important clues to finding her best friend Roger and other missing kids.
Lyra will be in a difficult situation in His Dark Materials episode 5 since she needs to master her fears as she'll be in uncharted territory. While she could find some answers to her questions, things wouldn't be easy for her. She's been through a lot and already dealt with abandonment and betrayal.
Based on the promo, the upcoming episode will be one of the toughest episodes so far for Lyra. Some of the events in His Dark Materials episode 5 will also define who she is as a character. Also, she's not alone in her adventure since there's someone who could likely help her as she travels further North.
Meanwhile, the recently released episode on His Dark Materials introduced Texan aeronaut Lee Scoresby and armored bear Iorek Byrnison -0 the two beloved characters in Philip Pullman's trilogy. In the book, The Golden Compass, Lee knew Iorek a bit, but the series suggests the two are much closer than previously thought.
In episode 4, Lee told his daemon Hester that the bear saved their lives, and he's now coming to the northern port of Trollesund to help Iorek, as his armor has been stolen and being held in indentured servitude. In the books, Lee bids his time Trollesund, waiting for new expeditions. But in the series, he appeared to be close to Iorek, and it's exciting to see how their history will unfold.
Meanwhile, the introduction of these two characters made most fans really happy. Fans took to Twitter and praised the recently released episode, with one fan saying episode for was a great introduction for Lee and Iorek. Another user said that His Dark Materials got even better now that Lee arrives in the series.
His Dark Materials episode 5 will air on Sunday, Dec. 1, on BBC.
