Prince Charles is about to return to the United Kingdom after his tour in New Zealand. The Prince of Wales will reportedly talk with his younger brother, Prince Andrew, after his disastrous interview on BBC Newsnight. As the Duke of York steps down from his royal duties, there are reports that the heir to the throne is now the nation's favorite royal, who finally earns the public's respect.
Royal columnist and author Victoria Arbiter claimed that Prince Charles is now seen as the nation's favorite and is finally respected by the masses after the fallout of Prince Andrew. It could be remembered that Queen Elizabeth II's eldest son received criticisms after his divorce from the late Princess Diana in 1996.
Add to that his errors in the past, the press, and people who loved Princess Diana the most, and his alleged infidelity following his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles, he endured decades of ridicule and scorn. "But, it seems tide may be turning," Arbiter told 9Honey.
Finally, after decades, Prince Charles won back the British public's respect. Playing his role as the heir apparent to the British throne, and his desire to do good now paid off.
Unfortunately, this comes after Prince Andrew's scandal and resignation from his public duties as a royal. Anyhow, Arbiter explained that it is because of Prince Charles' charity work and environmentalist views that help him earn the public's trust and respect.
Meanwhile, amid his brother's fallout, Prince Charles will reportedly have "crunch talks" with Prince Andrew. According to Mirror Online, the older royal is angered that Sarah Ferguson's former husband ignored "senior courtiers' advice" and gave an interview about the convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. Unfortunately, the discussion turned into a disaster.
A senior palace source said that Prince Charles would call for a talk with Prince Andrew as soon as possible. His son, Prince William, on the other hand, is reportedly kept informed of any developments about the matter, which swallowed up the royal family since his uncle had an interview with Emily Maitlis.
Prince William is reportedly unhappy with Prince Andrew's behavior. Hence, stepping down from his public role might be the best thing to do. "First and foremost, Charles's concern lies with the family, as does William's," an insider said.
Prince Andrew was reportedly left with no choice but to resign from his position. The Buckingham Palace aides are now doing a full inquiry into his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell.
