Outlander fans are getting the chills when Starz gave them the perfect Thanksgiving gift: a photo of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. In the new snap, the series lead stars are dressed in their usual 18th-century outfits and expressed their excitement about the upcoming Outlander Season 5.

The series dropped the new photo a week after the cast and crew wrapped filming of Outlander Season 5. Fans took to social media also to ask one important question that is undeniably true. Is Jamie and Claire Fraser ever aged?

The couple looks stunningly gorgeous in their latest promotional photo, and they almost looked the same as the first time viewers met the hunk Scottish highlander and the post-war nurse. Except for some strands of gray hair, one fan commented Jamie and Claire aged like a fine wine. Another fan wrote it is the most stunning promo poster of the Fraser couple since Outlander debut in 2014.

In the picture, Jamie and Claire are seen lying in the grass. It looks like they are having a picnic as a blanket. It spread out on the ground. It could also be Jamie is accompanying Claire on her day out, picking out some of her medicinal herbs as a basket full of tiny flowers is seen at the bottom of the photo.

The scenario could be the couple decided to sit under the sun for a while and enjoy their alone time together. It must be hard for the couple to find time to be intimate at Fraser Ridge as their daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton), as well as Roger (Richard Rankin) and their newborn baby, are now living with them.

Whatever the scenario behind the photo, it captured the mood between the lovers. Claire comfortable leaning her face and hand on the chiseled chest of her husband while Jaime lovingly wraps his arm around her.

The photo is packed with romantic mood amidst more challenges, including war, that is looming over the couple. In Outlander Season 5, the Revolutionary War is imminent.

Jamie will feel the pressure from the British on how he will deal with the Regulators. Viewers may recall that at the end of Season 4, Governor Tryon (Tim Downie) tasked Jamie to lead a militia that will take down the Regulators and its leader Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser (Duncan Lacroix). Jamie's loyalty will be tested in this installment.

Heughan earlier spoke about Jamie's struggles in Outlander Season 5. He said his character would be in a really difficult situation. He has to deal with the British while trying to protect the people he loves and Fraser Ridge.

The time-traveling drama earlier released more photos for Season 5. The set of photos includes a family snap of the Frasers inside their cabin.

Outlander Season 5 is based on Diana Gabaldon's fifth novel, The Fiery Cross. The fifth installment of the TV adaptation is set to premiere on February 16, 2020.
