BTS Jungkook proved his Midas Touch when he helped propel a startup sneaker brand to boost its sales. Now, the brand is paying its good fortune forward by making donations to children's welfare organizations to thank BTS' golden maknae.
According to a report by All Kpop, ARMYs suggested the startup company to donate to children's causes, knowing that Jungkook had a special place in his heart for kids. The brand took the ARMYs suggestion and donated under the name of ARMY, BTS' official fandom. Apart from donating children's welfare facilities, the owner also gifted children designed with the symbol a +.
It can be recalled that Jungkook wore handcrafted 23.65 sneakers made by the startup at one of BTS' events, which prompted fans to flock to the internet to search for the item. It generated plenty of attention for the small company, resulting in a boost in their sales.
In July, the owner of the brand posted a lengthy message on social media to thank Jungkook for supporting his products, given that it was a small company compared to the big brands that celebrities were associated with. He said that Jungkook's support meant a lot when he started wearing the startup brand three years ago. He thanked the idol for his continued patronage.
The owner expressed gratitude for the opportunity and attention that the BTS member generated for his products, given that he was a relatively new entrepreneur who ventured into business at a young age.
Throughout BTS' career, the golden maknae has earned the reputation as Sold Out King because of his strong influence in generating sales for the items he endorsed, officially or unofficially, SBS reported.
In one instance, Jungkook mentioned the brand of fabric softener he used after he addressed a fan question in a broadcast. Hours later, the two brands he mentioned quickly sold out. He didn't even have to mention the brand of wine he opened during a live-stream. After seeing Jungkook pop a bottle, ARMY's zoomed in on the label and flocked online to order the same. The item completely sold out in Korea.
Again, the golden maknae of BTS proved his strong influence on his fans when Kim Soo Hyun's essay, I Decided to Live As Me flew off the shelves after ARMYs spotted the book in the background of one of Jungkook's broadcasts. Fans were not surprised that the toothbrush that Jungkook used in yet another broadcast quickly disappeared from the market as JK stans bought out the entire supply from physical stores and online merchants.
When Jungkook shared the secret to his shiny skin, he did not mention the name of the jojoba oil he used but gave fans a single clue. Several firms benefitted from hefty sales that day. Just this year, modernized hanboks from Zijangsa quickly sold out after fans spotted Jungkook wearing it at the airport.
