Meghan Markle, along with her family, Prince Harry and Archie, are currently on their six-week break from royal duties. Recent reports suggested that the Sussex family will be extending their break, and will be spending their first Christmas with Archie away from the royal family.

No one knows for sure where the family will celebrate the season. But, it was confirmed that it would not be in Sandringham alongside Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the senior royals.

According to Express UK, many royal experts and fans are convinced that Meghan Markle decided to stay in the United States to celebrate the festivities of the holiday season with her mother, Doria Ragland, which is quite logical for many as the Sussex family spent their Thanksgiving Day with her.

While some individuals are not interested in learning where will they celebrate Christmas this year, several people shared that one thing is very apparent: Meghan Markle is breaking family traditions. Quite shockingly, it was also revealed that the duchess used to share about this topic in previous years.

As per New Idea, the now Duchess of Sussex offered several "tips" on how to break family traditions over Christmas celebrations. In her 2015 interview with Grazia Daily, Meghan shared a few "hacks" for celebrating the holiday with friends.

Although the piece became very insightful for some, it shocked a lot of people, especially royal fans, when the article circulated in recent times. This "rehashing" of the article caught the attention of many individuals since Meghan Markle spoke about spending the "festive season" away from the family.

Based on claims made by the reports, the duchess also stated that, while it is wonderful to be with family during Christmas time, some would prefer to spend the season with their friends. It was further described that "buffet" with friends might be more "desirable" than lunch with relatives.

With these statements at hand, a lot of people criticized, once again, Meghan Markle for her ideas about breaking family traditions. Several individuals took their remarks to social media and asserted that the duchess has no regard for traditions since then. This convinced a lot that it is no wonder why she does not pay close attention to the royal traditions upon becoming the Duchess of Sussex.

In the end, however, avid fans of the duchess contested that she is not spending her Christmas this year with friends. Besides, Doria Ragland is her mother. So, it is still family, after all.
