Prince Andrew stepped down from his royal duties following his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis. As there are a lot of activities that the Duke of York left, including the welcoming of the NATO leaders, would his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, take his place in the monarchy? A royal expert explained that it might never happen and the palace might never ask the two Princesses of York to fill in their father's position.

It cannot be denied that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are the most affected by the controversies surrounding their dad. They are the ones who are dealing with the aftermath of the car-crash interview. In the podcast Pod Save the Queen, hosted by Ann Gripper with the Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers, the two talked about Prince Andrew's resignation and how it affected his kids with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

NATO summit is now happening in the United Kingdom, so all the senior members of the royal family are expected be there. However, Queen Elizabeth II's second son will be banned from all the major events in the royal calendar, including the welcoming of the world leaders.

According to Express, there are speculations that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie may step in to take over Prince Andrew's royal duties. Myers even revealed that the troubled prince was willing to step back from his patronages and charities if the girls would be allowed to take over.

Gripper asked if the younger Yorks might take the patronages of their father, to which Myers replied that they were non-working members of the royal family, and Princes Charles and Williams might deem it unfitting. The Prince of Wales reportedly wanted to have a more streamlined royal family, so there was no way that he would put the girls in the position to replace their father. The British public might never accept it, either.

With the 230 charities that Prince Andrew used to patron, Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry might have to step in. The Cambridges and Sussexes might get involved in these causes as Price Andrew's substitutes. "They will be lumbered with a lot more work, you'd imagine," Myers said.

Meanwhile, Business Times recently reported that Princess Beatrice might move her wedding to Italy after Prince Andrew withdrew from office. Her sister, Princess Eugenie, might also move out of her home in Kensington Palace.

As the taxpayers' money reportedly pays princess Beatrice's home and Prince Andrew covers Princess Eugenie's rent in Ivy Cottage, they may have to leave their respective houses. Beatrice might also move her wedding with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in Italy to have a low-profile event. Although it remains to be seen if this will indeed happen, it only shows that they are the ones who are most affected by their dad's issues.
