WINNER member Song Min Ho is channeling his inner Van Gogh as he is set to launch an art exhibit this month. This will mark the K-pop singer's first official art exhibit.
Reports have it that the K-pop artist is featuring his artworks through the upcoming Special Exhibition for Emerging Artists 2019. The event will take at the Sungnam Art Center in Sungnam, Gyeonggi-do, from Dec. 17 to 25. The exhibition will also feature several other emerging artists in Korea.
Last year, Min Ho gained attention after he showcased some of his artwork during a special collaboration event with brands like Leica and Gentle Monster. He also joined other professional models on the runway during Paris Fashion Week 2019.
Song Min Ho, better known by the stage name Mino, debuted as a member of K-pop group WINNER in 2014. Since then, he has been expanding his career as a solo artist, model, and producer.
Mino has been known in the entertainment industry not only for his talent as a singer but also for his drawing skills. He has been frequently seen doodling on his hit show New Journey To The West and other variety shows.
Just recently, JTBC's new variety show Human Intelligence showcased Mino's art skills. He was asked to draw a mural telling his entire life story. At first, he drew what seems like his birth as the umbilical cord can be seen tied to a microphone that connects to a cassette player that is placed beside young Mino while he writes lyrics with his friends.
Then his mural progresses to the time when the WINNER rapper first made music in Grade 6, drawing inspiration from his love for basketball as a child. Mino also drew his memories when he first joined YG Entertainment as well as the time he and iKON's Bobby had a guerilla stage at the playground in Hongdae.
WINNER members Jinwoo, Seungyoon, and Seunghoon also took a huge space on Mino's mural as well as his favorite cats. In the end, the K-pop idol drew a mermaid to represent his love for WINNER's fandom, Inner Circle.
Meanwhile, South Korean singer Blue.D recently dropped a special film teaser for his upcoming single "Nobody" featuring Min Ho. The teaser video highlighted a mellow piano melody and scenes from "Nobody" MV, which also stars the WINNER singer. Blue.D's "Nobody" is set to drop on Dec. 4.
