A December wedding between Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom is not happening. The couple reportedly postponed their wedding but it doesn't mean it wouldn't happen at all.

A source told UsWeekly that Perry and Bloom decided to change the date of their nuptials because of the venue that they have chosen. Apparently, the pair is planning a local as well as a destination wedding. It wasn't clear however which location hindered the couple's wedding plan.

The source added that fans of Perry and Bloom should not worry of the delay as the two are very much in love with each other. In fact, they are ready to start a family and the the 35-year-old singer wants to have a baby as soon as they get married.

Katy and Orlando started dating in 2016. The Lord of the Rings actor proposed to the "Firework" singer on Valentine's Day this year.

A source said over the years, the couple has managed to work out all of their issues and have been able to communicate well about what each of them wants. Both reportedly want to make sure they are not making the same relationship mistakes that they had made in their past relationships.

Perry was previously married to comedian Russell Brand between 2010 and 2012. She also had an on and off romance with John Mayer for a couple of years.

Bloom, on the other hand, was married to former Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr. They broke up in 2013. The two share an eight-year-old son.

Back in June, Perry spoke about why they are not rushing their wedding plans. She told KISS Breakfast with Tom & Daisy that it is important for them to lay the good emotional foundation for a lifetime commitment that they are about to make.

In August, Bloom also opened up about his relationship with Perry and their wedding plans. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor said it is significant for him that they understand each other.

"I've been married and divorced and I don't want to do it [same mistakes] again. And we're both fully aware of that," Bloom told Sunday TODAY.

Meanwhile, despite the postponement of their wedding, Perry's calendar for this month is still packed. She is set to perform in several iHeartRadio and 102.7 KIISFM's Jingle Ball shows this year. Perry will hit the stage of Jingle Ball in Los Angeles this weekend along with BTS, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Halsey, Sam Smith, Lizzo, and Normani.

Additionally, she is also promoting her recently released her first-ever holiday music video titled "Cozy Little Christmas." Perry is also reportedly set to start filming a new season of American Idol this month.
