Camila Mendes and Charles Melton reportedly take a pause on their relationship after a year of dating. Although it has yet to be revealed if they officially split or only in a cool off, they are allegedly taking a break from their romance over the last few months.

The couple now puts a stop on their relationship after they celebrated their first anniversary. A source told E! News that the two have been separated for quite a while now. "Their relationship escalated very quickly, and they are taking time now to focus on their work and themselves," the insider said.

Camila Mendes and Charles Melton are said to be both busy. Aside from filming Riverdale together, they are also working on their respective movies.

The tipster added that they both have a lot on their plates right now. Nothing, in particular, happened between the two, but they only feel too busy and overwhelmed with everything they do. Hence, they feel a lot of pressure on them. They seemed stressed by their hectic schedules and different activities that caused the "ups and downs" in their relationship.

Aside from playing the roles of Veronica Lodge, who is part of the love triangle that involves Archie (KJ Apa) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) in Riverdale, Camila Mendes also has two films in the can. She is set to appear in the thriller film Windfall and the romantic comedy Palm Springs, per Daily Mail Online.

On the other hand, Charles Melton, who plays the supporting role of Reggie Mantle, is currently filming the drama Swing, a movie about a team of Ivy League rowers. The 28-year-old star became a series regular in Riverdale Season 3 after he took the role of Ross Butler, who left the show due to scheduling conflicts with 13 Reasons Why.

However, despite their busy schedules, the source continued to say that Camila Mendes and Charles Melton are still in touch with each other. They also both understand that they have to be civil when they are on the set of Riverdale and throughout the press conferences for the show.

The two are continuously filming Riverdale Season 4, and things have been pretty normal between them. Fortunately, they are not only lovers but good friends, too. In fact, everyone on the show has a good relationship and is very close.

So, Camila Mendes and Charles Melton can't just ignore each other. They have to remain cordial and try to focus on the production of Riverdale. The two are still filming for the series before the holiday break comes in a few weeks.
