Earlier this week, the British Royal Family welcomed some of the NATO leaders for the annual summit. In an engagement hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, along with the other senior royals, welcomed several personalities, including President Donald Trump.

The reception, as well as the summit, were deemed successful. However, reports came rushing after that a lot of insults among the attendees were made with each other. One of these reported moments includes the alleged "middle-finger" gesture made by the Prince of Wales toward the United States President.

As it happened, several videos and clips went viral on social media and witnessed how it all went down.

As seen in the video, the senior royals, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Duchess Camilla were all standing in one line to welcome and greet the attendees. As Donald Trump approaches the queen, the Heir Apparent was seen "scratching" his left eye with the use of his left middle finger.

Upon witnessing the short clip, many fans and supporters are certain that the Prince of Wales did it intentionally to "flip" the president. While there are no pieces of evidence to prove the case, aside from the video, several netizens still took their respective thoughts on social media about the matter.

As noted by Express UK, netizens mostly discussed their thoughts on Twitter where the video of the exact moment was posted. Although the first wave of thoughts claimed that they are not sure of what Prince Charles did, the rest of the comments made are certain that the royal did "insult" President Donald Trump while he "annoys the queen."

The majority of the netizens who agreed that it was an intentional insult also shared their joy and praise toward the Prince of Wales. As it appears, many loved the idea that the prince tried to mimic the president's actions toward him.

It was explained that Donald Trump did the same gesture in the past with a female astronaut as she tried to correct the president in one event. So, if Prince Charles truly did it to get back to the president, it will be much more "satisfying," one netizen added.

Some royal fans and followers also revealed that it is likely that Prince Charles expressed his annoyance over the First Couple considering that they were the ones who insulted them first.

Earlier that day, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall invited President Donald Trump and Melania Trump in Clarence House. However, they were late by an hour, which was a huge "no-no" for the royals. Not to mention, the President and the First Lady were said to stay in only 15 minutes.

Accordingly, this might be the reason why the royal couple felt the need to insult the couple back upon their following meeting at Buckingham Palace.
