Princess Beatrice is set to marry her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020. As plans of her wedding have yet to be unveiled and confirmed, there are speculations that Jame Blunt could be picked as her wedding singer.
Blunt, who is known for the hit song "You're Beautiful," is also a family friend of the Yorks. He was a guest at Princess Eugenie's wedding last year and he doesn't rule out singing at Princess Beatrice wedding.
Speaking on This Morning on television, Blunt said that, as a friend, he is ready for hire should Princess Beatrice need him to perform for her wedding to Mozzi. Blunt was friends with Princess Eugenie first, when they met at an Ibiza party a decade ago. Princess Eugenie was also a guest at his wedding to Lady Sofia Wellesley in 2014 in Majorca.
Blunt also previously spoke about the York sisters' cousin, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. He said that Prince Harry is a "very nice man" and he thinks that the write-ups about the pair on media bordered on bullying.
As an outsider close to the royals, Blunt said that this Sussex couple works hard to make people's lives better. He was also at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan in 2018.
Meanwhile, friends of Princess Beatrice are reportedly worried for the royal because of her father's controversy. For months, Prince Andrew's association with Jeffrey Epstein has been in the news, which got worse when the Duke of York allowed to be interviewed on BBC.
Sources told Entertainment Tonight that Princess Beatrice deserves the best wedding she wants. Only, she cannot decide without considering if it won't cause an uproar because of her father. Prince Andrew is reportedly an embarrassment for the royal family and Princess Beatrice has become collateral damage.
Recently, the York princess decided to drop her original plans for her and Mozzi's engagement party at the popular Chiltern Firehouse on Dec. 18. Instead, she has opted for a more low-key celebration at a friend's private residence. Buckingham Palace refused to comment on the changes to Princess Beatrice's engagement party, citing that it is a private matter.
After nearly a year of dating, Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to Mozzi in September 2019. The couple, however, has not yet revealed the actual wedding date but there have been speculations that it will be a spring or summer wedding in 2020.
