Recent reports revealed Prince Andrew would be joining Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family to church on Christmas Day. However, there are claims that the Palace may hide the Duke of York from the people's sight on his first public appearance since his car-crash interview on BBC Newsnight.

In fear of facing public scrutiny, the Palace may decide to hide Prince Andrew from the public's eye this Christmas. He may not join the royal family's traditional walk to church. Instead, he may join his mother in the car to avoid coming face-to-face with the people.

It was the same thing that Prince Andrew did last year. He sat with Queen Elizabeth, who was driven to church in 2018. According to Express, this move was interpreted as a sign of support of her son to his mother after Prince Philip decided not to join the event and stay at home instead. If he indeed joins Her Majesty in her car this year, it will be a sign of support to Sarah Ferguson's ex-husband.

The Time's royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah revealed that the interest in Prince Andrew's presence might affect Prince William and Kate Middleton. Allegedly, the Duchesses planned to take their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, with them to experience the Christmas service for the first time.

However, Prince Andrew's office at Buckingham Palace announced that it wouldn't confirm in advance who among the members of the royal family would be joining Queen Elizabeth at Sandringham on Christmas Day. Royal fans and followers alike have been waiting to see when will be the troubled duke's next public outing after he resigned from royal duties. Although he is no longer taking any work on behalf of the Queen, he is still expected to join the royal family on private occasions.

To recall, Prince Andrew was reportedly forced to step down from his public duties following the backlash over his talk with Emily Maitlis on BBC. In the interview, he was criticized for not apologizing and showing sympathy to Jeffrey Epstein's young victims, per The Sun.

He also said that he had "no recollection" of meeting Virginia Roberts, who claimed that she was forced to have sex with him three times at a very young age. The event reportedly happened when she was only 17 years old upon the order of Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew denied the accusations and said he couldn't remember meeting her.
