Princess Beatrice recently announced her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi a few months ago. While this is supposed to be a happy and joyful moment for the royal family, especially to the York household, things have turned down south after Prince Andrew's controversies and scandals reemerged later this year.

Unfortunately, the Duke of York's controversial link to the infamous sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein has resurfaced. Quite obviously, this caught more the attention of the press and the public. Accordingly, this puts the royal family in a "dark" place.

A lot of royal experts and analysts agree that the 59-year-old royal "embarrassed" the royal family. It was also asserted by other publications that the family is truly "disappointed" with him.

His affiliations alone have been deemed as a disappointment already. But, it seemingly appears that Prince Andrew even made things worse after he had a sit-down interview on air.

Although he was certainly hoping to clear things out with the press and the public about the scandal, his statements only added fuel to the fire. As a result, he shortly announced that he is "stepping down" from his royal duties.

According to Entertainment Tonight, several friends of Princess Beatrice shared their thoughts about the matter. The sources claimed that these individuals have growing "worries" over the 31-year-old royal's upcoming wedding.

With the scandals and controversies surrounding the royal family, especially her father, Prince Andrew, it will be very difficult for the newly engaged couple. The report even revealed that this had caused a heartbreak toward the princess. "Poor Bea" deserves to have a happy wedding, a source added.

It was also shared by the sources that "everyone is concerned" about Princess Beatrice. While it was already stated that the wedding would be in 2020, no date has been confirmed yet.

In regard to dates, several publications, like Express UK recently reported that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi "cancelled" their engagement party that was said to happen on December 18 at Chiltern Firehouse in London. The reason being is that the couple, as well as the rest of the royal family, are said to be "fearful" that the press and paparazzi will "swarm" Prince Andrew at the reception.

As of the moment, the palace has yet to comment on the reports. But, it was revealed that the new date for the party would no longer be made public for security purposes.
