Princess Beatrice has finally got Queen Elizabeth II's approval for her wedding date. Reports indicate that it is going to be in early June 2020.

Prince Beatrice of York and fiancé Edo Mapelli Mozzi have announced their engagement in September. Based on royal protocol, the couple has to inform the Queen in advance about the wedding date that they have chosen. The monarch needs to give her approval before the couple can announce the date.

Then, Bea's father, Prince Andrew, had a disastrous interview with BBC Newsnight last month about his relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The Duke of York said he regrets his decision to keep in touch with Epstein even after the latter spent time in prison on charges of procurement of minors. Andrew also denied all allegations of direct involvement with Epstein's victims.

Many believe that this is the reason why there has been a delay in the announcement of Beatrice's wedding date. Others think the Queen could be waiting for the elections to finish before the couple could announce their wedding date.

Princess Beatrice reportedly canceled his engagement party due to Prince Andrew's scandal. The 31-year-old princess is supposed to have a party at Chiltern Firehouse on December 18 but she decided to change the date because of concern that it will be flocked with photographers that are looking for her father.

But now, Beatrice has reportedly received the approval from the Queen and their chosen date for the nuptials will be in June 2020. According to Daily Mail, the wedding will be in early June, just before the Royal Ascots which is set to kick off on June 16 and will run through June 20.

"I'm told we can expect the ceremony to be in early June, as the racing-obsessed Monarch has stipulated the date must not interrupt her favorite meeting, which next year starts on June 16," the publication's reporter Charlotte Griffiths wrote.

The outlet also cited an insider close to the couple as saying that Bea and Edo will be announcing their wedding date in the second week of January. The details of the nuptials are expected to be revealed by the couple as well.

It was earlier reported that the couple is considering The Guards' Chapel at St. James's Park. Prince Andrew's position as an honorary Colonel of the Grenadier Guards would have bumped her daughter on top of the long waiting list of those who want to marry at the venue. However, due to Andrew's recent debacle, the chapel looks to be off the possible venue list of the couple.

After the Newsnight interview, the Duke of York announced that he would step back from his public. He reportedly failed to attend a dinner for The First Guards Club last week.

The Buckingham Palace explained that Andrew's "unprecedented" absence at the event was in line with his decision not to do any activity in support of his military associations. This could also be the reason why The Guard's Chapel is no longer in Bea and Edo's consideration for their wedding venue.
