Orbits are enraged after witnessing LOONA Chuu's hair being pulled by a staff member at the Idol Star Athletic Championships (ISAC) but MBC was quick to seek an apology over the incident.
According to a report by All Kpop, LOONA's fandom made noise on social media, censuring the staff member for treating LOONA Chuu so disrespectfully.
Based on the video circulating on the internet, the staff member was seen talking to a group of idols when he pulled Chuu's hair. It was believed that the staff member wanted to call Chuu's attention but netizens felt like his manner of doing so was disrespectful to the artist.
Outraged fans said that the staff member might have thought that he could get away with treating the LOONA member badly because she was a rookie, but Orbits vowed to make him pay for his actions.
"This man just PULLED Chuu's hair in a demanding way to interview her. This type of behavior is offensive and can be considered as aggression, and we demand an answer and an appropriate punishment for the responsible for this," a fan tweeted.
Orbits, LOONA's official fandom, also called on the sports festival organizers for a public apology because of the shabby treatment of artists at the event. The fans trended the #sportsfestivalstaff apologize in their call for justice.
In response, MBC already issued an official apology for the incident and assured that the staff member personally sought Chuu's forgiveness. He is currently reflecting on his actions, the statement said.
Orbits are well known for their consistent and solid support for LOONA. On December 13, the fandom proved their unity once again and led the Kpop idol group to achieve an amazing feat.
For LOONA's comeback, 365, support from Orbits catapulted LOONA's title track to the No. 1 spot on iTunes's Top Songs in the US. This amazing feat was achieved in the space of only a few hours.
According to a report by Soompi, the only other Kpop girl group to reach the top of the US chart was BLACKPINK for their single, Kill This Love.
The positive showing of 365 was not the only reason for LOONA to celebrate because their album, X X, also took the top spot in the iTunes Top Albums in the United States.
In history, LOONA is only the second Korean idol act to grab No. 1 spot on the Top Songs and Top Albums charts, next to BTS. They are also the second girl group to achieve the feat, after Destiny's Child. Apart from the US, LOONA's 365 also landed on the Top Songs Chart of many countries globally, proving that the viral superstars are more than just hype.
