BLACKPINK Jennie recently shared snaps of her adorable pups on Instagram, even as BLINKs staged a public protest in front of the YG building to list down demands for the group's comeback.
In her recent post, BLACKPINK Jennie showed off her cute dogs, Kuma and Kai, and used the caption: "Some dog contents you didn't know you needed."
BLINKs were familiar with Jennie's two pups, who often made appearances on her live broadcasts. Fans were also aware of how much the BLACKPINK member loved her pets and was happy to see her bond with them this holiday season.
BLACKPINK is currently on a brief break after the successful first leg of the group's Japan Dome Tour at the Tokyo Dome Arena. Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose are expected to go back to work next year with back to back performances at Osaka's Kyocera Dome on January 4 and 5. They will also hold a last show at the Yafuoku! Dome, Fukuoka on February 22. After the tour, they are expected to be busy for their comeback.
Even though YG Entertainment recently confirmed BLACKPINK's comeback next year, fans were still dissatisfied over the handling of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose in the past years. BLINKs recently took matters into their own hands and staged a protest in front of the YG Entertainment building to ensure that the label listened to their suggestions.
BLINKS rented an LED billboard and parked the LED truck in front of the agency so that YG executives can see their demands for the better treatment of BLACKPINK.
According to fans, the label failed to keep its promise of two comebacks for Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose last year. They also called out the label for failing to deliver on its promise of solo debuts for other members. Of the members, Jennie was the only one who got a solo debut in 2019.
Based on the fans' demand, YG should stage at least two comebacks a year, and deliver on the solo releases from BLACKPINK's other three members. They also demanded that BLACKPINK participate in more yearend shows locally instead of going abroad.
YG has since responded to the protest and assured BLINKs that the agency is listening to their suggestions.
"BLACKPINK is at the last leg of [their] 2019-20 world tour, consisting of 32 concerts in four continents, 23 cities with now ending with Japan dome tour. At the same time, they are working hard at the recording studio for their new album. We appreciate Blinks' interest and would like to ask you to continue supporting the girls working on their album release schedules in [the] early part of 2020," YG said in its statement.
