After becoming the first Kpop idol group to reach 1 billion views for their DDU DU DDU DU MV, BLACKPINK set another YouTube record by having the first debut MV to reach 750 million views. YG Entertainment also confirmed Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose's comeback early next year.

According to a report by Soompi, BLACKPINK's Boombayah became the first debut MV from a Kpop group to reach 750 million on YouTube on November 29 after the MV was released on August 8, 2016. Boombayah also became the third Kpop MV to reach the milestone, right after DDU DU DDU DU, and BTS' DNA.

As BLINKs celebrated the new milestone, the fandom was given more reasons to rejoice after it was reported by News1 that Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose will make a fresh comeback in 2020.

According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK members are currently busy working on the new songs that will be included in their new album. The label's announcement hinted that Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose would return with new materials in early 2020. However, YG refrained from announcing the exact release date, pending management decision.

As fans wondered what could be in store for the new BLACKPINK album, many are speculating that there will be several international collaborations in the new album.

It can be recalled recently that Ariana Grande's producer, Tommy Brown, shared a post on Instagram where he was seen hanging out with BLACKPINK members. Ariana even asked to be photoshopped into the photo. It was confirmed that the Thank You, Next producer was in Seoul to work with Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose on a new song, Metro reported.

A few months ago, there were also several international musicians who spoke up about wanting to work with the YG Entertainment artists. Among those who picked BLACKPINK as their potential collaborators were the Jonas Brothers, Little Mix, and The Chainsmokers.

It came as no surprise that BLACKPINK reached the radar of international artists. The group's previous collaboration for Kiss and Make Up with Dua Lipa was met with worldwide success. The song debuted at No. 36 un the UK Singles Chart and entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 93 on its first week of release. The song also broke the Spotify record for being the most streamed song on the platform this year.

YG Entertainment is also expected to capitalize on BLACKPINK's international popularity. This year, the Your Area World Tour in North America and Europe entered the bestselling concert tours on the Billboard list. Another world tour for the BLACKPINK comeback can cement the girls' position as global Kpop phenomenons.
