Chicago P.D. season 7 episode 10 will be arriving on NBC earlier next year, with the title "Mercy." A lot of things happened during the fall finale, especially to Jay Halstead. He was shot in the chest and his condition remains unstable as of the moment.

Many were wondering whether or not Halstead will survive in Chicago P.D. season 7 episode 10 after being shot in the fall finale. Now, it looks like his condition remains uncertain as a sneak peek released by TVLine teased that the character is still on a life-and-death situation.

The intelligence unit gets a word regarding the current condition of Halstead. While they're anxiously waiting in the Chicago Med room, Jay's brother, Dr. Will Halstead, updates them and said the bullet grazed an artery. He then told them that Dr. Marcel is still trying to repair it.

Then, Voight asked if Halstead will be fine, but Dr. Will became even more worried about the question. He said that his brother lost a lot of blood, which means that he's in a very bad condition now. However, even though Halstead does survive, he'll be facing other problems when he wakes up.

Angela, in particular, wants to destroy him. She is the wife of Marcus West, the man whom Halstead wrongfully put behind bars and was eventually killed. Angela shot Halstead as she wanted to get revenge, and she's now plotting to turn everyone's world upside down.

Voight warned her that if Halstead dies, she should wish that she never lived. However, Angela wasn't taken aback with these words, and replied: "You can't silence me." She also threatened the team that people will know what Halstead did to her husband, and the whole city will know as well.

Thus, Halstead will be facing some problems if even he wakes up in Chicago P.D. season 7 episode 10. He needs to deal with Angela and the public after accusing an innocent man. The events will also change him as Jesse Lee Soffer previously teased his character will be totally different -- if he does survive.

As for what else is coming in Chicago P.D. season 7 episode 10, the team will try to focus and work and turn their attention to a new case that involves an illegal arms dealer. However, Atwater found out that his brother, Jordan, is back in Chicago and possibly tied to the case.

Burgess, on the other hand, finally makes a decision -- presumably regarding her pregnancy. Previously, she expressed that her current condition could affect her decision-making process. In addition, her job and relationship with Adam will be other factors in her decisions as well.

Chicago P.D. season 7 episode 10 is set to air on Wednesday, Jan. 8, on NBC.
