Justin Bieber has been one of the most favored artists since his emergence in the music industry. For many years, both fans and co-artists have seen his growth in all aspects of his life. From being one of the most popular teenage celebrities of his time, all the way to his recent milestones, he has been followed by millions of people across the globe.
Recently, YouTube released its Top 10 "Most-Watched" Music Videos of the Decade. It is only fitting considering that 2019 is already approaching its end. Not only that the year is ending but, a new decade is now already emerging.
According to Forbes, the list that YouTube released recently garnered the top music videos of 2010 up to 2019, which obtained the largest number of views. The platform also referred to these music videos as the most "successful" ones of the decade.
Although the majority of the artists that was able to secure a place in the list are all from the pop genre, there were still a few from other genres that made into the top ten. But, among all, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran were the artists that stood out from the rest.
As it happened, Justin Bieber's Despacito made it to the top spot with over 6.5 billion in totality. While artists Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee were the ones mainly credited on the list for the track, fans and supporters consider Justin as one of the reasons for its massive hits and views.
Aside from the non-English track, which falls under the sub-reggaeton genre, Justin Bieber's Sorry also secured a spot on the list. It comes after Psy's Gangnam Style because of its 3.2 billion views as opposed to the Korean artist's 3.4 billion views.
Next to Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran was also regarded as one of the top artists who was able to secure two spots on the top ten. As it appears, his popular hit Shape of You placed second on the overall rankings having over 4.5 billion views.
Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud placed tenth as it obtained over 2.86 billion views, which is just a little short of 200,000 views from One Republic's Counting Stars since the track's views totaled at 2.88 billion.
Along with Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, One Republic, and Psy, other artists who made it into the list include Kate Perry for Roar, Maroon 5 for Sugar, Wiz Khalifa for See You Again, and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for Uptown Funk.
