CLC's Sorn climbed to the #1 trending topic on Twitter worldwide after she managed to offend fans with a culturally insensitive post.

According to a report by All Kpop, CLC's Sorn made a post on an Instagram story where she was seen hanging out with a group of people, including one person who was wearing a racist caricature mask.

Fans took offense at the image and called out Sorn for promoting racism. The CLC member later deleted the image, but instead of apologizing, she posted an equally offensive image that seemed to provoke netizens even more.

In her solo pic, she used the caption: "Sometimes some people gotta chill, I'm not stupid."

The statement inflamed netizens even more and caused the hashtag #Sorn to rise to the top of Twitter trending topics.

Netizens criticized the Kpop idol for her lack of remorse. They further said that Sorn not only managed to offend black people whom the mask made fun of, but she also managed to disappoint the fans who were counting on her to do the right thing.

Some netizens also accused Sorn of having a big ego, now that she was a celebrity. Fans called out Sorn for her irresponsible behavior and urged her to reflect on the reason why netizens became offended by her actions.

In a recent post, CLC's Sorn apologized for being culturally insensitive and said that her post was not intended to offend anyone. She said that in hindsight, she realized how the photo could be offensive to others. She specifically addressed CLC's fandom, Cheshire, and conveyed her remorse for disappointing them.

"I am genuinely sorry, and will reflect upon my mistakes. I am not asking for anyone's forgiveness but I am writing this message to say that I know how much people are hurt by the picture I posted last night. I understand people are allowed to feel and I am in no way expecting the people I offended to forgive me. Sorry guys and I'll make sure it doesn't happen again in the future," Sorn said.

While Sorn promised to reflect on her actions, fellow CLC member Yeeun recently bid goodbye as an MC of SBS's The Show.

Yeeun and NCT's Jeno recently ended their stint as hosts of the show and kept their departure a secret from viewers until the last episode. As the pair received their trophies for their time as MCs, Yeeun said that she and Jeno decided to keep the news from the fans because they wanted to say goodbye with a smile.

"I didn't want today to end, but it has. It's been a great bit of luck in my life because I was able to work with and meet great people," Yeeun said.
