Amal Clooney, actor George Clooney's better half, has an obsession with Meghan Markle. A tabloid is claiming that the human rights lawyer has forged a strong bond with Prince Harry's wife.
According to Radar Online, Amal was never close to the wives of George's other celebrity A-list friends, including Angelina Jolie when she was still married to one of George's closest friends, Brad Pitt. However, Amal and Meghan quickly became close that an insider said the top lawyer could be described as "obsessed" with the Duchess of Sussex.
Allegedly, Amal tries to spend time and keep in touch with Meghan whenever possible. As the mother of nearly three-year-old twins, Amal gives the first-time mom parenting advice and even tips on how to handle fame. The source further said that Amal and Meghan have secret lunches and playdate meets in London. They also constantly send text messages to each other.
The Clooneys were guests at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan in May 2018. When Markle had to go to New York City for her baby shower, she apparently had the help of George to charter the private plane.
While the secret lunches cannot be confirmed, Daily Mail reported that George and Amal live nearby to Prince Harry and Meghan's estate in Windsor. George also said that they have enjoyed dinners with Prince Harry and Meghan in the past, especially before the royal's son Archie Harrison was born.
When asked to elaborate on how their friendship started, George simply shrugged off the question and said that he just knows the Sussex pair. He also said that the Sussex royals are "really nice, fun, kind people."
George even went as far as to defend Prince Harry and Meghan amid their issues with the British tabloid media. According to the superstar, it feels unjust for Meghan to be receiving bad press when she's only trying to live her life and making a difference.
The actor said that Meghan could simply shrug the press off and not pay attention to the negative stories about her. However, some of these stories bordered on bullying and unkindness that it's easy to understand why the Sussex royals had to fight back.
Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan have been enjoying their time-off from the prying eyes of the public. They have been on vacation mode since Thanksgiving in the U.S. and are not expected back in London until after Christmas. Prince Harry and Meghan will likely resume their royal duties in early January.
