Was Prince Harry dating two women at the same time during the early months of his relationship with Meghan Markle? There have been talks that the Duke of Sussex was cheating on the former American TV star with British model Sarah Ann Macklin.
Royal biographer Angela Levin wrote in the book "Harry: Conversations with the Prince," that Prince Harry was seeing Macklin just before he was introduced to Meghan by their common friend. Daily Mail reported that Prince Harry and the model started dating in June, as well as in July, when he and Meghan first got together.
Sources revealed that Prince Harry and Macklin met at a private party where he asked for her number. He was apparently texting the model heavily at the same time as he was just beginning to date his future wife.
Prince Harry's interest in the model actually ticked of her ex-boyfriend David Gandy, who was trying to win Macklin back in his life. Friends attested the Macklin and Prince Harry's flirting was an open secret.
Apparently, Prince Harry and Macklin got along even if they have different lifestyles and wavelength. The relationship, however, fizzled out when Prince Harry went to Africa in August and that was when he and Meghan had their very intimate date in Botswana.
Meghan was also rumored to be in conflict with two men at that time. While she was forging a new relationship with Prince Harry, she was also allegedly trying to patch things up with her ex-boyfriend Cory Vitiello.
Vitiello was a top Canadian chef whom Meghan dated from May 2014 to May 2016, a mere two months before she started dating Prince Harry. He lived together with Meghan in Toronto, who was then filming Suits.
The chef and the future duchess had such a deep relationship that even Vitiello's mom was quite fond of the future royal. When they were together, Vitiello was undoubtedly the more popular personality as a chef. Because of his status, he also introduced Meghan to the social elite of Canada.
Though they ended their relationship, Vitiello said that he had no bitter feelings against his former girlfriend. It's never been clear why the two broke up but allegedly, when Prince Harry entered the picture, Meghan was still making plans to spend a holiday with Vitiello's mother.
Three years later, Prince Harry and Meghan are married for over a year and a half. They also share a seven-month old baby, Archie Harrison, who is the spitting image of his father.
