Did Angelina Jolie have an unexpected visitor last month who was rather confrontational? According to a tabloid story, Jane Etta Pitt, who is Brad Pitt's mother, flew to Los Angeles over Thanksgiving to tell off her ex-daughter-in-law after Jolie talked badly about the father of her kids in press interviews.
An unnamed source apparently revealed to the printed edition of Women's Day that the elder Pitt and Jolie had a face-to-face showdown when the saw each other. Jane reportedly told Jolie that she was greatly upset about how the Maleficent star kept making public digs against her son even after three years of separation.
Jane apparently also reminded Jolie that Brad kept his silence through their divorce proceedings and custody battle. However, the actress is still trying to keep Brad from seeing his children.
The Women's Day story also cited that Jane might release a tell-all book documenting Brad's marriage to Jolie. Brad Pitt's mom is apparently not opposed to publishing the messages that the actress sent her son after their marriage fell apart.
However, Gossip Cop is debunking the Women's Day story alleging Jane's frustration over Jolie. There is no proof that Brad Pitt's mother actually flew to Los Angeles last month for Thanksgiving.
Jolie hasn't also been bashing her ex-husband in the press. The only time the actress commented about Brad in interviews was when she told Harper's Bazaar that as much as she'd love to live abroad with her children, they have to stay in Los Angeles to be near their father.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight revealed that Brad will be with his three biological children for Christmas eve. Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne are reportedly going to spend the night before Christmas with their dad before reuniting on Christmas day with their mother and their three other siblings -- Zahara, Pax and Maddox, the ex-couple's adopted children. It is unclear why the adopted kids will not be spending time with Brad. Sources, however, said that Zahara, Pax and Maddox are always welcome to visit their father's house.
E! News reported that Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne also celebrated their father's 56th birthday this week at his home. The children stayed a bit longer than expected before they were driven back by bodyguards to Jolie's home.
The report noted that Zahara, Pax and Maddox did not spend time with their father on his birthday. The eldest, Maddox, reportedly has a strained relationship with his father.
Jolie and Pitt announced their separation in 2016. They were together for 12 years.
